While India is one of the superpowers in the world, we have still listed more than 320 million people who live below poverty line. Most of these people still make less than a dollar for their daily survival. As the result of this huge discrepancy between the rich and the poor, explotation and oppression continue to grow more and more. This is the sad context in which more than 40 million children are still working in factories and shops to supplement their parents' income. Children who are supposed to study and those who are required to play are forced to remain indoor at the companies to work till the late hours. These are the people who are relegated to the menial and degraded jobs and used as cheap labors. Leevin comes into their lives and become a source of relief. Leevin is convinced that it is only through education and development, one can achieve self-esteem, independence and total living.
